Approval of bills <br />Approval of minutes (2/16/99) <br />Award 1999 beautification project <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Sisk stated that he noted Sam's Club has new cars for sale on display in their parking lot, <br />which is in violation of their zoning. He suggested that staff contact Sam's Club to <br />address this issue. <br /> <br />Lathrop commended the local 4H group for their efforts to clean up the Coal Creek Trail <br />between Hwy 42 and 96th Street. He also thanked the Erman family for coordinating the <br />effort and disposing the trash that was collected. <br /> <br />Mayer congratulated the Louisville Resource Conservation Advisory Board for <br />presenting an outstanding Earth Day Celebration that was very well attended. He stated <br />that students from Monarch and Centaurus High Schools recently displayed an art exhibit <br />at NCAR and suggested that the City send a letter of recognition to those who were <br />awarded prizes for their artwork. He commended staff for coordinating a very enjoyable <br />volunteer recognition brunch at Karen's in the Country and all the City volunteers for <br />their contributions. <br /> <br />Davidson also commended staff for coordinating the volunteer recognition brunch. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - NATIONAL DRINKING WATER WEEK MAY 2-8, 1999 <br /> <br />Davidson presented a proclamation declaring May 2-8, 1999, National Drinking Water <br />Week to Tom Phare, Public Works Director. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - OLDER AMERICANS MONTH <br /> <br />Davidson presented a proclamation declaring May 1999, Older Americans Month to <br />Harriet Olson, Senior Board Member. <br /> <br />Harriet Olson thanked Council for their continued support and invited them to attend the <br />senior luncheon on May 12, 1999. <br /> <br />Sisk stated that he is the City Council liaison to the Senior Board. He reported that a <br />member of the board, Artys Gallager, is recovering from a serious car accident.
