Preliminary Internal Review Draft <br />Transportation and Mobility Focus Areas <br />Transportation Alternative Goals (TA) <br />Transportation Alternatives promote a well-connected and inclusive transportation network that <br />supports regional transit access, transit -oriented development, first- and last -mile connections, and <br />alternative mobility options such as carpooling, microtransit, and biking —enhancing convenience, <br />sustainability, and equitable access for all. <br />TA.1. Ensure reliable and comfortable access to transit and key destinations. <br />TA.2. Increase regional transit connections. <br />TA.3. Implement programs such as Transportation Demand Management (TDM) to promote alternative <br />transportation options and optimize existing transportation facilities. <br />Multimodal Connectivity Goals (MC) <br />Transportation Alternatives The following Goals and Strategies support all modes of transportation for <br />a network that provides multiple options with a focus on increased trails and sidewalk connections, <br />safe crossings, and bus access. <br />MC.1. Increase connectivity and comfort of on -street bike facilities, bike paths, and sidewalks. <br />MC.2. Ensure trails and sidewalks are accessible and equitable, providing all community members with <br />easy and inclusive access to public spaces and amenities. <br />Transportation <br />Infrastructure Goals (TI) <br />Transportation Infrastructure <br />promotes efficient and flexible <br />parking strategies that balance <br />the needs of all users while <br />supporting vibrant public spaces, <br />real-time h , systems, <br />and infrastructure maintenance to <br />enhance safety, accessibility, and <br />long-term system <br />TI.1. Develop and implement parking <br />strategies that balance the needs of <br />residents, businesses, and visitors. <br />TI.2.
