Sec. 15.04.040. - Section [A]101.1 amended —Title. <br />Section [A]101.1 of the International Building Code is amended to <br />insert "the City of Louisville" so the section will read: <br />[A]101.1 Title. These regulations shall be known as the Building <br />Code of the City of Louisville, hereinafter referred to as "this code." <br />Sec.15.40.050.- Section [A]104.1 amended —General. <br />Section [A]104.1 of the International Building Code is amended to <br />read as follows: <br />[A]104.1 General. The building official is hereby authorized and <br />directed to enforce the provisions of this code. The building official shall <br />have the authority to render interpretations of this code and other <br />International Code Council codes and has the ability to adopt policies and <br />procedures in order to clarify the application of their provisions. Such <br />interpretations, policies and procedures shall be in compliance with the <br />intent and purpose of this code. Such policies and procedures shall not have <br />the effect of waiving requirements specifically provided for in this code but <br />should give latitude for good science and engineering practices. Buildings <br />shall meet the City of Louisville Fire Hardening Code. <br />Sec. 15.04.060. - Section [A]105.5 amended —Permit expiration. <br />The first paragraph of Section [A]105.5 of the International Building <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />[A]105.5 Expiration. Except for permits for alterations involving only <br />one discipline, every permit issued by the Building Official under the <br />provisions of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if <br />the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within 180 <br />days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by <br />such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is <br />commenced for a period of 180 days. Every permit for alterations involving <br />only one discipline which is issued by the Building Official under the <br />provisions of this code shall expire by limitation and become null and void if <br />the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within 90 <br />days from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by <br />such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is <br />commenced for a period of 90 days.
