City Council Economic Vitality Committee
Meeting Minutes
September 25, 2025
Page 6of6
Councilmember Fahey stated that she would like to see more information on impacts
during construction of the Front and Center, including effects on Street Faire and the
Farmers Market during construction. She also requested that the Business Satisfaction
Survey results include the percentage of businesses that responded to the survey.
City Manager Langley requested patience for the Front and Center project and noted
that staff is still not certain when construction will occur. The project team is still working
on layouts for Street Faire and the Farmers Market.
Regarding Sundance, she also asked Manager Zarate if there is concern about certain
agencies trying to get ahead of others in terms of distribution of information or
prematurely sharing certain information with the EVC. Manager Zarate responded that
several items have been identified that need to be addressed, such as food and
beverage, housing, and transportation. But she noted that there is still work to done and
cautioned putting the cart before the horse on ideas. She concluded that once there has
been a need identified, other teams will be looped in.
Mayor Leh proposed that the EVC discuss a work plan at their next meeting in October.
He also proposed discussing the Business Satisfaction Survey results, including action
items, in November and a more detailed discussion about Sundance in December.
City Manager Langley asked if the EVC wants to see Business Satisfaction Survey
results prior to them being shared at Economic Vitality Day on November 10. The
Committee responded that no, that would not be necessary.
ADJOURN
Members adjourned at 4:08 p.m.
Mayor Chris Leh
Austin Brown, Economic Vitality Specialist
