RESOLUTION NO. 86 <br />SERIES 2025 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />CITY OF LAFAYETTE FOR SHARING OF COSTS OF 30% DESIGN PLANS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENTS TO STATE HIGHWAY CO-42 FROM PASCHAL DRIVE TO <br />BASELINE ROAD <br />WHEREAS, an intergovernmental agreement has been proposed for the cities of <br />Louisville and Lafayette to share the costs of completing preliminary design plans for the <br />portion of the State Highway 42 corridor extending between Paschal Drive in Louisville <br />and Baseline Road in Lafayette ("IGA"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve the IGA by this Resolution. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The proposed Intergovernmental Agreement for the Sharing of Costs <br />of 30% Design Plans for Improvements to State Highway CO-42 from Paschal Drive to <br />Baseline Road, by and between the City of Louisville and the City of Lafayette (the "IGA"), <br />a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, is hereby <br />approved. <br />Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the IGA on behalf of the <br />City Council of the City of Louisville, and the Mayor is hereby further authorized to negotiate <br />and approve such revisions to the IGA as the Mayor determines are necessary or desirable <br />for the protection of the City, so long as the essential terms and conditions of such IGA are <br />not altered. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of October 2025. <br />ATTEST: <br />Genrhy KNne, City Clerk <br />Resolution No. 86, Series 2025 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
