Youth Advisory Board Meeting Minutes February 1, 2007 City Hall, Council Chambers 749 Main Street 7:00 PM Call to Order - Olga Shershneva, Youth Advisory Board Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 7: 16pm Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: Board Members Present: Dylan Cousins, Hannah Davinroy, Keegan Dougherty, AJ Ehlert, Alex Kolber, Michelle Shearer, Olga Shershneva, Phoebe Szeton, Megan Valentine, Fran Waldman Board Members Absent: Ruby Dickson, Andrew Reetz, Mandy Perera Staff Members Present: Sheri Marsella, Kriska Daltonhurst Others Present: Keith Williams Approval of Agenda - The agenda was approved by all members. Approval of Meeting Minutes - Meeting minutes were approved. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda - Keith Williams, Director of the Recreation Center, was a guest at our meeting. He mentioned that there has been a lot of positive feedback raised about youth advisory board members attending other board and committee meetings and encouraged all members to keep up the good work. He also informed members that Mandy Perera will no longer be a liaison to the Y AB from the Rec. Center. Public Comments- Charity Race: Olga Shershneva, Youth Advisory Board Chairperson, proposed a motion to redirect Y AB's efforts and attention away from planning a charity race in 2007 and towards a recruitment drive for next year's board. All members voted their approval of this motion. The things that we decided to do are to put the charity race off till next year, but to make a folder about things that will get the race started and give it to next year's YAB.
