AND ADOPTING GUIDELINES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE
ADMINISTRATION THEREOF, PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 65.1 OF TITLE 24,
COLORADO REVISED STATUTES - Public Hearing (Advertised Daily Camera
8/28/99)

Sisk called for City Attorney introduction.

Sam Light, City Attorney, read by title only Ordinance No. 1307, Series 1999 - An
Ordinance Designating Certain Geologic Hazards within the Business Center at C.T.C.
and Adopting Guidelines and Regulations for the Administration Thereof, Pursuant to
Article 65.1 of Title 24, Colorado Revised Statutes. Light stated that the Ordinance
contains second reading amendments, specifically to sections two and three.

Sisk called for staff presentation.

Paul Wood, Planning Director, explained that Ordinance No. 1307, Series 1999 will
designate the two mine shaft sites located on Lot 3, The Business Center at CTC, Replat
A, as a new geologic hazard area. The ordinance provides that permitted uses within the
designation area would include paved parking and landscaped areas to the extent
permitted on an approved Final PUD Development Plan.

The second reading ordinance has been modified to reflect that the boundaries for such
designated areas shall be that area within a radius of fifty (50') feet from the center of the
mine shaft locations reflected on the final PUD development plan. The radius is
determined to be a minimum distance by Scott, Cox and Associates in the attached letter
dated August 5, 1999. Also, stormwater detention areas have been incorporated as a
permitted use within the designated hazard areas. He was then available to answer any
questions.
