The recap of 2009 and 2010Museum hours, <br />programs, tours, visitors, volunteer hours,and collection numbers are included with the <br />Library’s information. <br />B.Beth stated that Bridget is starting to holdlocal history presentations duringBrown Bag lunches <br />at the Museumevery other even month on the first Tuesday. The first one was Feb. 2.Frigid <br />weather and a winter storm depressed participation although it reinforced the theme of <br />“Rhythms of the Louisville Household:Winter.”The Library and Museum are also in the <br />process of planning additional joint programsfor 2011 including: (a) green building for historic <br />thth <br />sites; (b) Colorado’shistoric theaterson May 4; (c)an observance of the 25anniversary of <br />theMuseumaround Labor Day;(d)Wayne Lee ona book that he is working on about <br />Louisville; and (e) programming relating to the One Book program.The One Book project will <br />have a regional history focus and there will be joint programmingwith the Lafayette Public <br />Library. <br />C.2011 facilities projectsare being planned toinclude$10,000to update the plumbing in the <br />Museumand $2,500 to upgrade the insulation in the buildings. The City recentlyreplaced the <br />Museum’sroller shades. The work on the installation of the fire detectionsystem at the <br />Museum continues. <br />D.Beth reported on the high Library circulation records for2010. <br />XI.Museum Coordinator’s Report:Bridget Bacon <br />A.Approval of Deeds of Gifts from donors. It was moved, seconded and carried to accept the <br />following donations to the Museum: <br />a.Kim Daldos –photos of the Affolter family. <br />b.Barbara McKee –information abouther houseon LaFargeAvenue. <br />c.Chuck Waneka –historic photos and records relating to his family. <br />d.Lois Del Pizzo-kerosene lamp used in Louisville. <br />e.Lois Tesone –scans ofphotosof the Chiolino family. <br />f.Jeremiah Whitney –screwdriverimprinted with the name Mom & Pop’s Laundry,which <br />was at927 Main Street. <br />g.Patricia Lester –school photo showing her father, Tommy Cable. <br />h.Bill Buffo –copies of the Abstract of Title and deeds from his family’sproperties in the <br />Jefferson Place subdivision. <br />i.Marilyn Hunt –four cookbooksthat were created and sold as Library fundraisers in <br />1992-1993. <br />B.Bridget noted that the installation of the fire detection system has been goingin over the last <br />several weeks. The Tomeo House and Summer Kitchen aredone. The Jacoe Store is next <br />th <br />andMuseumwill be closedto the public onWednesday, Feb. 16to accommodate the work. <br />Bridget also drew attention to some ofthe larger monetary donations to the Historical <br />Commission in 2010, which were: <br />a.From the City of Louisville, $1,300 from the Fall Festival proceeds. <br />b.Jean Morgandonated $200. <br />c.Bob Enrietto donated $400. <br />The Commissiongratefully acknowledges theseand otherdonations. <br />Membership: 120 new paying members joined in 2010, a record annualamount. Renewals for <br />2011 are coming in at a high rate. <br /> <br />
