HistoricalCommission <br /> <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 12, 2011 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />First Floor Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />8:30 a.m. <br />I.Call to Order <br />:Commission Chair Dan Mellish called the meeting to order at 8:40 a.m. <br />II.Roll Call: <br />Commission Members Present <br />:Dan Mellish,Dave Ferguson,Pat Seader, Diane Marino, <br />Lynn Koglin, Sally Burlingame, Anne Robinson, Dustin Sagrillo,Jennifer Strand <br />Commission Members Absent: <br />Brian Chamberlin, Sean Moynihan,Don Ross <br />City Representatives Present: <br />Beth Barrett, Directorof Library & Museum Services <br />Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator <br />Memberof the Public Present: <br />Jean Morgan <br />III.Approval of Agenda: <br />Members approved the agenda. <br />IV. Approval of Minutes for October and November: <br />Members approved both sets of minutes. <br />There were no minutes from January because there was no quorum for that meeting. <br />V. Public Comments: <br />Jean Morgan notedthat the owner of the Louisville Rod & Gun Club <br />building has applied for a demolition permit.The Historic Preservation Commission is <br />reviewing the historical significance of the building per the normal process when a demolition <br />permit is requested. There was some discussion about the history of the building. Bridget <br />Bacon stated that she researched the buildingfor the reviewand itis believed to date from <br />1926. Jeanreminded the Commission that aPioneer Parkas a space to interpret and preserve <br />historic buildings is a goal she recommends that the Commission consider. <br />VI. Approval of Designation of Places for Posting of Notice of Public Meetings: <br />Members <br />approved the designation. <br />VII.Distribution of Open Government & Ethics Pamphlet: <br />This item was accomplishedand <br />reinforced. <br />VIII.Confirmation of Schedule of Commission Meetings for 2011: <br />Members approved the <br />schedule.Regular meetings ofthe Commission will continue to take place at the Louisville <br />Public Library on the third Wednesday ofeach monthexcept for December, when there is no <br />meeting. <br />IX.
