Approve Purchase Order for Three Marked Police Cars <br /> E. Approve the Purchase of Chevrolet Colorado 4X4 Pickup for the Water <br /> Treatment Plant <br /> F. Award Bid to Dellenbach Chevrolet Inc. for One Truck for the Parks <br /> Division <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> Dan Mellish, 590 W Willow Court, Louisville, CO, representing the Louisville Historical <br /> Commission, explained the Commission met last month to discuss their long -term plans <br /> and goals. The main priority is to make the City's historic resources available to the <br /> public. He noted there is support for the Museum to be open more regularly. A petition <br /> was circulated and over 300 signatures were collected from residents who wish to have <br /> the museum's hours increased. He hoped a small portion of the use tax could provide <br /> funding for a full -time museum coordinator. <br /> Peter Lindquist, 450 Fairfield Lane, Louisville, CO addressed the needs of the Louisville <br /> Historical Museum. He stated if the museum hours were increased, it could welcome <br /> visitors and market the City. He noted the museum offers a financial return by <br /> increasing sales tax revenue. He distributed a letter entitled "Campaign to Open the <br /> Louisville Museum" to the City Council. The City Clerk was presented with a citizen <br /> petition supporting more funding for the Louisville Historical Museum. <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> Mayor Sisk congratulated Mr. Lindquist on the article he wrote about mining in <br /> Louisville. He announced today City Attorney Light is celebrating his birthday and cake <br /> would be served after the meeting. He thanked Mayor Pro Tem Marsella for conducting <br /> the City Council meeting on February 15. He reported on the recent trip to Washington, <br /> D.C., where he and Deputy City Manager Balser met with several members of <br /> Congress relative to transportation funding. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> City Manager Fleming reported on the following: <br /> The success of the Heat Relief Benefit Dinner held in February.
