City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> April 5, 2011 <br /> Page 3 of 10 <br /> City Manager Fleming reported the City is trying to schedule a June 28 joint meeting <br /> with the Town of Superior Board of Trustees and requested the Council respond to the <br /> City Manager's office whether they will be able to attend the meeting. <br /> In addition to the April 16 Arbor Day celebration it is also John Breaux Cleanup Day. <br /> Residents are invited to join in cleaning up the City in honor of John Breaux. <br /> RTD and FasTracks are conducting a survey relative to various funding options to <br /> complete FasTracks. They are requesting public comment on three different funding <br /> alternatives: 1) Voting on a 0.4 sales tax. 2) A vote at some future date on a sales <br /> tax increase. 3) Not having any additional sales tax and completing the FasTracks <br /> Project by 2042. The public may respond by text, phone or on the RTD Website. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> APPROVAL TO MOVE THE APRIL 19, 2011 REGULAR CITY COUNCIL <br /> MEETING TO APRIL 20, 2011 <br /> Mayor Sisk explained the Council wishes to be sensitive to religious holidays when <br /> scheduling public meetings. Councilors discussed changing the Regular City Council <br /> Meeting on April 19 to avoid conflict with Passover. <br /> MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved the April 19, 2011 City Council Meeting be rescheduled to <br /> April 26, 2011. Councilor Muckle seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br /> 2011 ARBOR DAY PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Sisk read the Proclamation, which proclaimed Saturday, April 16, 2011 as Arbor <br /> Day in the City of Louisville. The Forestry Division of the Parks and Recreation <br /> Department and the City of Louisville Horticulture and Forestry Advisory Board has <br /> developed a program of events for Arbor Day. <br /> Michael Frontczak, 643 Fairfield Lane, Louisville, CO, Chairman of the Louisville <br /> Horticulture and Forestry Advisory Board accepted the proclamation. He stated the <br /> Board proposes to plant trees on Pine Street, just north of the Bridgefield subdivision. <br /> Parks Superintendent Dean Johnson announced this year's Arbor Day plantings were <br /> provided through a grant from the Colorado Tree Coalition. <br /> PRESENTATION BOULDER COUNTY ENERGYSMART PROGRAM <br /> Mayor Sisk requested a Boulder County presentation. <br />
