C J ORDINANCE NO. 748 ~ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLES 1, 8, 9, P-.ND 10 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CON- CERNING SERVICE OF A SUMl'10NS AND Cm1PLAINT, STORAGE OF DISMANTLED VEHICLES, ADDING OFFENSES AGAINST THE PUBLIC PEACE AND WELFARE , AND SPECIFYING REQUIREMENTS FOR PARKING OF OVERSIZED AND CO~WERCIAL VEHICLES. WHEREAS, the Police Department has requested certain revisions be made to the Louisville Municipal Code; WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed changes and found them to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. The following section is added to Chapter 1.28, Title 1 of the Louisville Municipal Code. L28.020 Service of Summons and Complaint A summons and complaint issued pursuant to a violation of this Code shall be served personally upon the defendant and a copy given to him. In lieu of personal service, service may be made by leaving a copy of the summons or summons and complaint at Defendant's usual place of abode with some person over the age of 18 years residing therein. Section 2. Section 8.16.040 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed. Section 3. The foLlowing section is added to Chapter 8.16, ---- Title 8 of the Louisville Municipal Code. 8.16.040 Storage of Dismantled or Inoperative Vehicle No person shall park, store, leave, or permit the parking, storing or leaving of any motor vehicle of any kind which is abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, inoperative, rusted, junked, or in a partially dismantled condition, upon any public or private ~roperty within the City for a period of time in excess of 72 hours. The presence of an abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, inoperative, rusted, junked, or partially dismantled vehicle parts thereof, on private or public property is hereby declared a public nuisance. 'I'his section shall not apply to any vehicle enclosed within a building on private
