<br /> C J <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 748 <br /> ~ <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLES 1, 8, 9, P-.ND <br /> 10 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CON- <br /> CERNING SERVICE OF A SUMl'10NS AND Cm1PLAINT, <br /> STORAGE OF DISMANTLED VEHICLES, ADDING <br /> OFFENSES AGAINST THE PUBLIC PEACE AND <br /> WELFARE , AND SPECIFYING REQUIREMENTS FOR <br /> PARKING OF OVERSIZED AND CO~WERCIAL VEHICLES. <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department has requested certain <br /> revisions be made to the Louisville Municipal Code; <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the proposed changes <br /> and found them to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section 1. The following section is added to Chapter 1.28, <br /> Title 1 of the Louisville Municipal Code. <br /> L28.020 Service of Summons and Complaint <br /> A summons and complaint issued pursuant to a violation of <br /> this Code shall be served personally upon the defendant and a copy <br /> given to him. In lieu of personal service, service may be made by <br /> leaving a copy of the summons or summons and complaint at Defendant's <br /> usual place of abode with some person over the age of 18 years <br /> residing therein. <br /> Section 2. Section 8.16.040 of the Louisville Municipal <br /> Code is hereby repealed. <br /> Section 3. The foLlowing section is added to Chapter 8.16, <br /> ---- <br /> Title 8 of the Louisville Municipal Code. <br /> 8.16.040 Storage of Dismantled or Inoperative Vehicle <br /> No person shall park, store, leave, or permit the parking, <br /> storing or leaving of any motor vehicle of any kind which is abandoned, <br /> wrecked, dismantled, inoperative, rusted, junked, or in a partially <br /> dismantled condition, upon any public or private ~roperty within the <br /> City for a period of time in excess of 72 hours. The presence of <br /> an abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, inoperative, rusted, junked, or <br /> partially dismantled vehicle parts thereof, on private or public <br /> property is hereby declared a public nuisance. 'I'his section shall <br /> not apply to any vehicle enclosed within a building on private <br />
