<br /> (a) Section 4-6(a). Speed Contests. No person shall <br />engage in any motor vehicle speed or acceleration contest and no person <br />shall aid or abet in any such motor vehicle speed or acceleration <br />contest on any street. <br /> (b) Section 18-3 (ct. Height, width and length of vehicle <br />and loads. No single motor vehicle shall exceed a length of 35 feet <br />extreme overall dimensions, inclusive of front and rear bumpers, except <br />that a vehicle used for mass transportation of passengers wholly within <br />this City may extend to a length of 60 feet. <br /> (c) Section 19-7(b). Inspection of vehicles. Uniformed <br />police officers, at any time upon reasonable cause to believe that a <br />vehicle 1S unsafe or is not equipped as required by law or that its <br />equipment is not in proper adjustment or repair, may require the driver <br />of a vehicle to stop and submit such vehicle and its equipment to an <br />inspection and such test with reference thereto as may be appropriate. <br />In the event such vehicle 1S found to be in an unsafe condition or the <br />required equpment is not present or is not in proper repair and adjust- <br />men t , the officer may give a written notice to the driver. Said notice <br />shall require that such vehicle be placed in safe condition and properly <br />equipped or that its equipment be placed in proper repair and adjustment, <br />the particulars of which shall be specified on said notice. <br /> (d) Section 22-5(5). Wh~erson arrested must be taken <br />before Court. When the person refuses to accept a penalty assessment <br />notice. <br /> (e) Section 22-9 (e) . Notice to appear in Court. Except <br />when authorized or directed to take a person before the court as <br />provided in section 22-5 or otherwise pursuant to State law, any police <br />officer upon making an arrest for any violation of this ordinance <br />punishable as a misdemeanor, shall take the name, address and operator's <br />license number of said person, the registered number of the motor <br />vehicle involved and such other pertinent information as may be <br />necessary and shall prepare and issue to him in writing on the form <br />authorized in section 22-2 of this ordinance a notice or summons to <br />respond and answer to the charge against him at a place and at a time <br />to be specified in the notice or summons. <br /> -2- <br />
