<br />Resource Conservation Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />February 12, 2007 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br />Bike to Work Day 2007 <br />. Sponsored by Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) <br />. To be held second Wednesday in June. <br />. Louisville is a sponsor and as such, will host breakfast stations in front of City <br />Hall from 7 -9am. <br />. City is looking for volunteer assistance from LRCAB. <br />. Scott distributed new bike maps for city and Bike 3600 Around Boulder map <br />. Maps will be publicized on city web site. <br />. Scott stated that the Denver-Boulder bikeway will happen. <br />Action Item <br />Scott will provide sign-up sheet for LRCAB volunteers at later date. <br /> <br />2007 LRCAB Goals <br />. Mark distributed his suggestions for short and long term goals and the Board <br />discussed. <br />. Display cabinets were discussed - need to request to move from low-visibility <br />spot to near entrance at Recreation Center. <br />. Mark made suggestion to use the three-fold display boards LRCAB <br />purchased several years ago at various City events. <br />. Beth suggests to do so in cooperation with other city boards; ie. Have <br />one/more tables with materials advertising activities of other city boards as <br />well as LRCAB. <br />. Scott stated that Land management has two 8'x8' tents that could be used for <br />this purpose. <br />. Beth proposes a no-idling ordinance to reduce air pollution and adverse <br />health impacts <br />. Doug suggested that a single site be established for tree limb and leaf drop <br />off - ie. Provide a single site for all green materials drop off. <br />. Lafayette may delay their mandatory Recycling/Pay As You Throw (PAYT) <br />program until single stream at the County's recycling plant occurs; design is <br />still ongoing and continues to by delayed. <br />. Western Disposal is the preferred contractor that emerged from the selection <br />process in Lafayette. <br />. An additional meeting is required to further discuss LRCAB 2007 goals. <br />Action Item <br />Mark will talk to Recreation Center personnel to relocate LRCAB educational <br />display cabinets. <br /> <br />Adjourn - The meeting was adjourned at 9:25pm. <br />
