Require homeowners educational information be provided by <br />builders/developers on low-water landscapinq. <br /> <br />. Subsequent discussion included consensus that Gunnison program could fit <br />with Louisville well. <br />. Boulder, Longmont and Gunnison programs all involve builder coming up with <br />green building attributes that the city then verifies during/after construction. <br />. LRCAB could present both a mandatory and flexible green building program <br />to Council/PC; they could keep both and let contractor pick. <br />Action Items: <br />As per Doug's suggestion, Mark/Scott will invite someone from City of <br />Boulder involved with their green points program to attend next LRCAB <br />meeting <br />Dave will contact Mona Newton (Western Resource Advocates?) for input <br />Dave/Jenny will contact McStain and other green builder <br />Mark will get input from Ecocycle on green points program <br /> <br />Recycling Ordinance No. 1508, Series 2007 (equal space for trash and <br />recycling) <br />. Passed unanimously on February 6,2007. <br />. Council wants to see more of this type of recycling activity. <br />. Mayor said this should be considered a first step. <br />. Sherry Marsalis in very interested in mandatory recycling in the city. <br />. Scott relayed that Ecocycle has met with him to indicate their support in <br />assisting with passage of mandatory recycling. <br />. In future, Board would like to address: <br /> <br />1. Incentive program for existing businesses <br />2. Mandatory programs for residential and commercial uses <br /> <br />Draft Colorado House of Representatives Energy Bill <br />. Mayor forwarded draft bill to Scott to obtain letter of support from LRCAB <br />. City already follows the '03 energy conservation requirements so bill won't <br />affect Louisville, as it will in other cities/towns that have not adopted those <br />regulations. <br />Action Items: <br />Mark will write letter addressed to Mayor and Council in support <br />Scott will pass on to Council (who will send to Paul Weiseman, and/or others) <br />
