PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA

Michael Kirschbaum, General Manager of the Louisville Times, introduced himself to
Council. He encouraged Council to contact him with any comments, questions or
concerns that they might have regarding the paper.

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON
THE AGENDA

Sisk reported that he and Councilman Mayer attended a meeting on Tuesday, September
1, 1999, regarding the boundaries of Monarch K-8 and the new K-8 school in Superior.
He explained that there would be three proposals before the School Board at their next
meeting on October 14, 1999. One is a plan for Superior's multiple housing residents and
the residents of west Superior to attend Monarch K-8 and residents of east Superior to
attend the Superior K-8 school. He explained that he expressed Louisville's opposition to
this plan and their support for the plan that would allow part of Rock Creek' s residents to
attend Monarch K-8 with the balance of Superior residents attending Superior's K-8
school. He reported that the plan that was supported by most of the individuals in
attendance was for the multiple-housing residents in Superior to attend Superior's K-8
school and the residents of west Superior attending Monarch K-8. He explained that the
plan could be adjusted periodically. He encouraged anyone with concerns about the
boundaries to attend the Boulder Valley School Board meeting on October 14, 1999.

PROCLAMATION - OCTOBER 17-23, 1999 YWCA WEEK WITHOUT
VIOLENCE

Mayor Davidson proclaimed October 17-23, 1999 as YWCA Week Without Violence in
the City of Louisville and challenged all residents of Louisville to spend seven days
without committing, condoning, or contributing to violence.

ORDINANCE NO. 1309, SERIES 1999 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 501, SERIES 1976, TO ELIMINATE THE GEOLOGIC
HAZARD AREA DESIGNATION FOR OUTLOT A OF LOT 5, BLOCK 7, THE
BUSINESS CENTER AT C.T.C. - PUBLIC HEARING
(advertised Daily Camera .9/11/99)

Davidson called for City Attorney Introduction.

Sam Light, City Attorney, read by title only Ordinance No. 1309, Series 1999 - An
Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 501, Series 1976, to Eliminate the Geologic Hazard
Area Designation for Outlot A of Lot 5, Block 7, the Business Center at C.T.C.

Davidson called for staff presentation.

2
