. .il, rep air, moving, removal, eonversion, demolition, occupancy, equip- ment, use, height, area, and maintenance of buildings and structures for the purpose of protecting the public health, safety, and general welfare. l5.04.020 Amendments The amendments set forth in Sections 15.04.030 through 15.04.100 are made to the Uniform Building Code, 1979 Edition. 15.04.050 Appendix adopted Appendix to Chapter 49, Patio Covers; Chapter 5l, Elevators, Dumbwaiters, Escalators and Moving Walks; and Chapter 70 Excavation and Grading are hereby specifically adopted as part of the Uniform Building Code, 1979 Edition, as required by Section l03 therein. 15.04.110 Copies available at office of City Clerk At least three copies of the Uniform Building Code, 1979 Edition, as amended herein, all certified to be true, shall be avail- able at the office of the City Clerk for reference by any interested person between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5: 00 P. M. , Monday through Friday, holidays excepted. The "Building Code" as finally adopted shall be available for sale to the public through the office of the City Clerk at a moderate price. 15.04.120 Penalty Clause The following penalty clause as contained in the Uniform Building Code, 1979 Edition, is herewith set forth in full and adopted: "Section 205. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish, equip, use, occupy, or maintain any build- ing or structure or cause or permit the same to be done in violati.on of this Code." -2-
