<br />this code. <br /> Section 3. Sections 15.12.010, 15.12.020, 15.12.030 and <br />15.12.040 of Chapter 15.12 of Title 15 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 4. The following sections are hereby added to <br />Chapter 15.12 of Title 15 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> 15.12.010 Adoption <br /> Pursuant to Title 31, Article 16, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, 1973, as amended, there is adopted as a part of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code, and as the fire code of the City, by <br />reference thereto, the Uniform Fire Code, 1979 Edition, as published <br />by the International Conference of Building Officials, 5360 South <br />Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California 90601, and the Western <br />Fire Chiefs Association, 5360 South Workman Mill Road, Whittier, <br />California 90601, to have the same force and effect as if set <br />forth herein in every particular. The subject matter of the <br />adopted code includes minimum standards relating to the storage, <br />handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, <br />and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the use or <br />occupancy of buildings or premises. <br /> 15.12.020 Section 2.101 amended - <br /> Administration and Enforcement <br /> Section 2.101 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to read <br /> -- <br />as follows: <br />"Section 2.101 The City Administrator shall be responsible <br />for the administration and enforcement of this code. Under his <br />direction, the building department shall enforce all ordinances of <br />the jurisdiction pertaining to: <br /> (a) The prevention of fires. <br /> (b) The suppression or extinguishing or dangerous <br /> or hazardous fires. <br /> (c) The storage, use and handling of explosive, <br /> flammable, toxic, corrosive and other hazardous <br /> gaseous, solid and liquid materials. <br /> (d) The installation and maintenance of automatic, <br /> manual, and other private fire alarm systems and <br /> fire-extinguishing equipment. <br /> (e) The maintenance and regulation of fire escapes. <br /> (f) The maintenance of fire protection and the <br /> elimination of fire hazards on land and in <br /> buildings, structures, and other property, in- <br /> cluding those under construction. <br /> (g) The means and adequacy of each exit in the <br /> event of fire, from factories, schools, hotels, <br /> -3- <br />
