AMENDED AND RESTATED BYLAWS OF <br />THE LOUISVILLE HISTORICAL COMMISSION <br />ARTICLE I <br />The Commission <br />Section 1. Introduction. <br />These Amended and Restated Bylaws(“Bylaws”)of the <br />Louisville Historical Commission(“Commission”) are adopted pursuant to the authority <br />stated in Resolution No. 12, Series 1979;Resolution No. 6, Series 2001;and Resolution <br />No. 3, Series 2004.These Bylaws replace any previous Bylaws forthe Louisville <br />Historical Commission. <br />Section 2. Office. <br />The office of the Commissionshall be considered the <br />Louisville City Hall,749 MainStreet, Louisville, CO 80027, or such other place in the <br />City of Louisville, Colorado as the City Manager may designate from time to time. <br />Section 3, Purpose and Duties. <br />A. Advisory. <br />Except as otherwise provided by City Charter or Municipal Code, <br />the Commission shall be advisory in character. <br />B.Duties. <br />The role of the Commission will include, but not be limited to, advising <br />the City Council on such matters related to the Louisville Historical Museum and raising <br />funds to support the Louisville Historical Museum, including: <br />(i)The mission of the Louisville Historical Museum; <br />(ii)The preservation of photos, documents, and artifacts at the <br />Louisville Historical Museum and other City facilities; <br />(iii)Oversight and approval of Commission budget expenditures; <br />(iv)Sponsoring fund raising events for the benefit of the Museum. <br />ARTICLE II <br />Members <br />Section 1. Number of Members. <br />The Commission shall consist of at least nine <br />and no more than fifteen members whom City Council shall appoint. <br />Section 2.Residency Requirement. <br />Members shall be residents of the City at <br />the time of their appointment and at all times while serving on the Commission <br />(Louisville Home Rule CharterSection 10-2c). <br />Page 1of 10 <br /> <br />
