As a condition of issuance of a pit bull license, the owner shall at the time of <br /> application comply with or otherwise provide sufficient evidence that the owner is in <br /> compliance with all of the following regulations: <br /> 1. The owner of the pit bull shall provide proof of rabies <br /> vaccination and shall pay the annual pit bull license fee of $25.00 as <br /> established by resolution of the city council. <br /> 2. The owner of the pit bull shall keep current the license for <br /> such pit bull through annual renewal. The license is not transferable and shall <br /> be renewable only by the holder of the license or by a member of the <br /> immediate family of the licensee. A pit bull license tag will be issued to the <br /> owner at the issuance of the license. The license tag shall be attached to the <br /> pit bull by means of a collar or harness and shall not be attached to any pit <br /> hull other than the pit bull for which the license is issued. If the pit bull tag is <br /> lost or destroyed, a duplicate tag may be issued upon the payment of a fee of <br /> $10.00 as established by resolution of the city council. <br /> Section 17. Subsection C of Section 6.20.010 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby <br /> amended to read as follows (words to be deleted are shown in strikeout; words to be added are <br /> underlined): <br /> Sec. 6.20.010. Running at large prohibited; impoundment. <br /> C. If the owner of such fowl is known and it is his first offense, the police <br /> department shall notify such owner and shall return the fowl to the owner upon his <br /> payment of a fee e5 -for each fowl taken up and returned to him. Such fee shall <br /> be as established by resolution of the city council. If the owner of such fowl is <br /> unknown, or if it is not the owner's first offense, or if the owner does not claim the <br /> fowl after being notified, the fowl shall be sold by the police department and money <br /> shall be turned over to the city collector. If the owner of such fowl can establish his <br /> ownership, the money received from the sale of the fowl, less the cost of impounding, <br /> shall be paid over to the owner. <br /> Section 18. Section 8.08.030 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as <br /> follows (words to be deleted are shown in strikeout; words to be added are underlined): <br /> Sec. 8.08.030.
