Steve recently published Buffalo <br />Bill: Scout, Showman, Visionary, which offers a new <br />perspective on William F. Cody's life and times. Steve will <br />share photos of Buffalo Bill's personal effects and <br />memorabilia. The Booklist review of Buffalo Bill: Scout, <br />Showman, Visionary says that "these images paint a vivid, <br />often inspiring portrait of the man and the American <br />frontier that shaped him." <br />More Programs <br />"Louisville: at Home in a Small Town" <br />THUR, August 11 7pm <br />Join us for this author presentation and book signing. Local <br />photographers Wayne Lee and Maggie Snyder will describe <br />the process of putting together their new book, a collection of <br />contemporary art photography made in Louisville over the <br />course of a year. The authors worked closely with the <br />Louisville Historical Museum and the Museum's Coordinator <br />Bridget Bacon to research Louisville's beginnings as a coal <br />mining town. Looking for more books by your favorite author, or <br />want to find similar authors? Not sure of the next book in the <br />series you're reading? If so, give NoveList a try. This is an <br />online resource offered by your Library to help you find your <br />next favorite book Just enter some information about what <br />you're looking for, and NoveList will come up with suggested <br />titles. You can also look at booklists of recommended reads, <br />find discussion guides and lists of award winning titles, or find <br />books that are similar to one you loved. From the Library's <br />web site at www.louisville- library.org, click on Research a <br />Subject under the Quick Links column, and choose the link to <br />Books Reading to find the NoveList database. From home <br />you will need to enter your name and library card number. <br />Book Drop in Superior <br />In the next few weeks, Town of Superior residents will be able <br />to drop off Louisville Public Library materials at the Superior <br />Town Hall. A book drop will be located inside Town Hall that <br />will be available MON -FRI, during normal business hours. <br />Pickups will be made once each day at 3pm, and all that <br />information is available at Town Hall (303- 499 3675). <br />Materials are not considered checked in until they are received <br />at the Library, so please make sure to check the pickup time! <br />www.louisville library.org <br />page 2 <br />
