There is currently a single family structure located on this <br /> property. The property is located on north Main Street, east of the Louisville Middle <br /> School, and west of the Burlington Northern rail line. To the north are five (5) multi- <br /> family residential units; to the south is a private pre school; and to the west is a public <br /> middle school. The applicant is requesting to attach an additional unit to the north of an <br /> existing single family structure. Staff is recommending modifications to the applicant's <br /> plan to better meet the five criteria established in recommending approval of an SRU. <br /> Resolution No. 32, Series 2011, recommends approval by the Louisville City Council to <br /> consider a special review use (SRU) request to allow a residential duplex addition in a <br /> commercial neighborhood zone district that requires a special review use (SRU) for a <br /> multifamily residential unit, with the following conditions: <br /> 1. The applicant shall orient the parking to face south to allow for better internal <br /> circulation. <br /> 2. The applicant shall include drought tolerant landscaping, as well as rock mulch, <br /> on the tree lawn along Main Street. <br /> 3. The applicant shall replace the landscaping treatments along the western facade. <br /> APPLICANT PRESENTATION <br /> Mr. Karl Fettig, stated he is a Boulder resident, but spends a lot of time in Louisville as <br /> he also owns a home on Washington Street. He requested Council approval of the <br /> SRU permit. He thanked and complimented the Planning Staff for their assistance. <br /> Mayor Sisk asked Mr. Fettig if he agreed with the three conditions of approval. Mr. <br /> Fettig confirmed he did agree with the conditions. <br /> MOTION: Councilor Clabots moved to approve Resolution No. 32, Series 2011, <br /> seconded by Councilor Muckle.
