City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />June 14, 2011 <br />Page 2of 5 <br />(recently released DVDs) available for immediate checkout, and “On the <br />Same Page”program. <br />Library and Historical Museum combined. <br />Library website redesigned,Board recognizedKaren Freiterfor her work <br />on this effort. <br />Joined the statewide Library/Xcel Energy Program to offer checkout of <br />kilowatt meters to assist families in measuringtheir home energy use. <br />Began offering eBook titles for download to computers and eReaders. <br />th <br />Book drop will be delivered by June 26and installed at the Superior <br />Town Hall by year end. <br />“On the Same Page”(one book project) was announced at a press <br />th <br />conference on June 8at the Harney Lastoka Open Space Property. <br />Goals will be evaluated at the end of the program to determine whether to <br />repeat.Director Barrett announced they are working off a waiting list for <br />the books, andsaid it has been a great experience and thanked all the <br />Board Members and thanked the Mayor. <br />The Board tabled the survey that was planned for Louisville and Superior library <br />users. The survey is an attempt to get to know their users and users’perception <br />ofthe Library. Access will be improved once the Book Drop is installed at the <br />Superior Town Hall. The Board will look at conducting the survey at a later date. <br />Mayor Sisk talked about the joint meeting with the Superior Town Board of <br />th <br />Trustees scheduled for June 28at 6:00 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room. He <br />commended the Board for “On the Same Page”and the appropriate book <br />selections and commented on the good relationship between Louisvilleand <br />Superior.He’s looking forward to the book drop. He thanked the Board for their <br />tireless efforts and extended his appreciation for their support. <br />Update/Discussion –Historical Commission <br />Brian Chamberlin presented a Power Point presentation on behalf of the <br />Historical Commission members.The other members present for tonight’s <br />meeting were Anne Robinson, Sally Burlingame and Jennifer Strand. Members <br />absent were: Dan Mellish, Dustin Sagrillo, Pat Seader, Dave Ferguson, Sean <br />Moynihan, Lynn Koglin and Diane Marino.The museum volunteers present <br />were: Debbie Fahey, Mary Kay Knorr, J. Peter Lindquist, Kate Gerard and <br />Barbara Gigone,and other supporters of the museum attended. <br />The presentation covered the following topics: <br />Year in Review <br /> <br />
