Open Space Advisory Board Minutes DATE Page 4 of 4 Board Updates: HFAB is involved with 7,000 trees in 7 days: contact Chris Lichty, 303-335-4733. Tom Davinroy is organizing a nei~hborhood group to participate. This will take place between April 21 - April 28t . Community Gardens, 95th and South Boulder Road - applied for grant to help fund and trail system. Did not receive grant first time, should know by next OSAB meeting if grant was approved. VIII Proposed Public Works Drainageway on Boulder Land Venture Property (Jointly owned with Boulder County). Project would involve 25' easement, open channel drainway w/series of drop structures; 10 year flood capacity; 4-5' depth; would affect approximately 4 acres. Board did not have strong opinions for or against this proposed drainageway. Discussion of Current and Future Adopt-An-Open SpacelTrail Program: Program has been in place for a long time but has not been promoted very actively. Website, newsletters, and word-of-mouth are increasing participation. 5 parks adopted, 3 trails, 2 open spaces (Davidson Mesa and Harper). New requirement for this year is a year end report and to report in whenever they were going to be on the property doing any significant work. High priority locations? Bret raised the suggestion of having a list of available adoptable space. Agenda Items for Next Meeting . Goal setting - where would we like to see OSAB heading? . Update on 2 properties we talked about last month . Re-ranking of properties - start by creating the ranking system . Update on resolution from last meeting regarding crosswalk . Off-site meeting at StorageTek at 6:00 p.m. due to the fact this is a parcel identified on our ranking list. Takota as a second option. Adjourn - The meeting was adjourned at 10:15 p.m..
