<br />expand services to seniors in all sites and to begin the development of a volunteer program. <br />Sheri asked for an overview ofthe demographics at each site. Jay would like to see Kris offer <br />her services to all seniors in the area around the apartments. <br /> <br />Kris is trying to expand the involvement of the Project Hope partnership, which is a joint project <br />with Aging Services. The program allows seniors to live more independently, age in their home, <br />and prevent them from being institutionalized unnecessarily in a long-term care facility. <br />Examples of services provided to residents through Project Hope are meal preparation, assistance <br />in meeting ADLs, and regular cleaning in the apartment. Jay suggested LHA Board to do an <br />outreach at Louisville Sr. Center. Sheri will talk to senior board. Frank emphasized that after 13 <br />years of working with Jodi Ansell and 27 years of Marty Baker, it has taken some time to <br />complete the transition for the residents. Marty and Jodi's incredible service made a big impact <br />in the lives of the seniors. Jay also suggested Kris send a letter to residents similar to Sally's. <br />Kris/Frank will contact Louisville Senior foundation to look into additional funding for Kristin <br />and her programs. <br /> <br />Other resources mentioned by the LHA board: Hearing aid provider-Hearing solutions- Buddy <br />Jewel and Kristine Gebhardt-Jewel (grants and resources)- Front St. in Louisville <br />Other suggestions from Jay Keany included contacting the Senior Liaison officer at the <br />Louisville Police Department and to send the Board an email for potlucks/events. Frank <br />recommended that the monthly calendars be included in the LHA board packets. <br /> <br />Sheri suggests: Middle school NJHS and youth advisory, Louisville cultural counsel board to <br />help cleaning etc. Contact information is located on Louisville website. <br /> <br />Frank distributed the new Area Median Income limits for 2007 -no change from 2006. Most <br />HUD targeted to 50% and below. 80% used for affordable home ownership programs. <br /> <br />Requirement is 50% AMI. Average is $15,000 annual income for all of our properties. Average <br />size 3 people. Includes all units <br /> <br />Regal Square average is $11,000 annual income with an average size of 1 person. <br /> <br />Finance Report: Lisa Bane:s <br />Lisa summarized March financial update. She will email the payment registers when she returns <br />to the office following the April meeting. Hillside received an operating increase from HUD for <br />the Public Housing program to $25,144. Hillside is projected to be on track in the budget by end <br />of year. <br /> <br />Based on the board's recommendations, the staff drafted Resolution 2007-06 in packet to <br />increase operating expenses in the 2007 budget that will be used for 2007 capital replacement <br />items based on the 5-year capital plan. <br /> <br />Motion to approve LHA Resolution 2007-06 by Terri Abbott, seconded by Doris Fasbender. <br />Unanimously approved and carried. <br />
