A request comes before the building division with a building permit application. <br /> 2. Social history of the property provided by the Museum Coordinator Bridget Bacon <br /> (21 days). <br /> 3. Two members HPC (sub- committee) and Principal Planner meet with the <br /> applicant at the site. <br /> 4. If sub committee do not find significance (social or architectural), permit is <br /> released. <br /> 5. If sub committee finds significance, the permit is called up to a formal HPC <br /> hearing. <br /> 6. At hearing the HPC is to decide if the structure would be eligible for landmarking. <br /> If not found eligible, the HPC may release the permit. <br /> 7. If the HPC finds the structure could be eligible for Iandmarking, they may place a <br /> stay (of up to 4 additional months) so they may provide design assistance or <br /> educate the applicant on the benefits of landmarking. <br /> 8. At the termination of the stay, the applicant may act on the demolition permit. An <br /> additional four month stay may be granted. <br /> 9. Ability to pull the demolition permit. <br /> Principal Planner McCartney explained staff is requesting clarification on whether or not <br /> the building permit process should be used or whether it should be a land use <br /> application. He reviewed the proposed Demolition Process /Regulations changes: <br /> Establish Demolition Application <br /> Subcommittee may release demo's considered minor <br /> Once approved, Demo Application is good for one year from date of approval <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Michael Menaker, LRC member, reviewed Resolution No. 34, Series 2002, which <br /> established the treatment of Louisville's historic properties and requested Council <br /> consider the appeal process or shortening the review process. <br />
