Golf Course Master Plan Complete /Ongoing <br /> Parks and Recreation Director Stevens reported receiving great response to the RFP <br /> process for the Golf Course Master Plan and it is a good proposal for getting solid <br /> direction with the golf course and estimates on the improvement costs. He noted they <br /> have been working with an archiitect on the building to identify shortcomings, to ensure <br /> any development will generate revenue. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Marsella suggested adding guidelines to the Historic Preservation grant <br /> program to the list of goals. <br /> Councilor Muckle requested the Commercial Guidelines be adopted by the third quarter <br /> and another opportunity to review the Gateway Signs. With respect to the goals for <br /> Quiet Zones, he supported the same language for the RTD underpass. He did not <br /> believe the Citywide Pedestrian /Bicycle Community Friendly Policy was completed. <br /> City Manager Fleming confirmed the Pedestrian Policy has not been completed. <br /> DISCUSSION /DIRECTION /ACTION APPROVAL OF ADDITIONAL $10,000 FOR US <br /> 36 AND MCCASLIN BOULEVARD INTERCHANGE SUB REGIONAL MODELING, <br /> TRANSPORTATION ANALYSIS AND ALTERNATIVE SCOPING EXERCISE <br /> Mayor Pro Tem Marsella requested a staff presentation. <br /> City Manager Fleming explained the City and the Town of Superior Staff members met <br /> and discussed traffic mitigation of the US -36 and McCaslin Blvd Interchange. The City <br /> Council and the Board of Trustees each approved $25,000 for traffic modeling and <br /> conceptual design in order to identify potential transportation improvements at the US- <br /> 36 and McCaslin Blvd Interchange. CDOT committed to contribute $20,000, but <br /> suggested their $20,000 contribution will occur once a preferred alternative is identified <br /> for the interchange. <br /> Both Superior and Louisville staff members believe $70,000 is necessary to complete <br /> the work in order to analyze existing and future traffic circulation with the purpose of <br /> identifying a preferred alternative for the US -36 and McCaslin Blvd Interchange. An <br /> additional $10,000 is requested for this project. The Town of Superior will also <br /> contribute an additional $10,000 for the work. Staff believes a preferred alternative can <br /> be identified, which includes some conceptual engineering that the preferred alternative <br /> will have a better chance competing for federal funds or possible inclusion in Phase 2 of <br />
