HistoricalCommission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 20, 2011 <br />Louisville Public Library Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />6:30 p.m. <br />I.Call to Order <br />: Commission Chair Dan Mellish called the meeting to order at 6:35p.m. <br />II.Roll Call: <br />Commission Members Present <br />: Dave Ferguson, Dan Mellish, Diane Marino, Lynn Koglin, <br />Sean Moynihan, Brian Chamberlin, Anne Robinson, Jennifer Strand <br />Commission Members Absent: <br />Dustin Sagrillo,Pat Seader,Sally Burlingame <br />City Representatives Present: <br />Beth Barrett, Directory of Library &Museum Services <br />Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator <br />Kathy Kron, Parks and RecreationDepartment <br />III.Approvalof Agenda: <br />Members approved the agenda. <br />IV.Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br />. Kathy Kronfrom the Louisville Parks and <br />Recreation Department said she had secured volunteers for July 28 to work in the garden of <br />the Museumcampus, replace plants that had died, and enhance the flowerbeds. She <br />requested that the Commission consider donatingmoney for the purchase of the plants. The <br />Commission thanked the representative and added the consideration of the budget item to the <br />Fundraising Board section of the meeting. <br />V.Meeting as Advisory Board for the City of Louisville <br />A.Approval ofJune 15, 2011 Minutes. <br />Members approved the minutes. <br />B.Report from the Director of Library and Museum Services: <br />1. <br />2012 Budget planning is underway. <br />2. <br />On the Same Pageis off and running with additional sponsors. <br />3. <br />The book drop is now open in Superior. <br />4. <br />The Friday night Street Faire may beaffecting Library visitornumbers because <br />some people think that the Library is closed. <br />5. <br />Projects related to the Museumare underway. A strong wind gust ripped the back <br />dooroffits hingesand a replacement door has been ordered and will be installed. <br />There will beplumbing improvements to thepipes in the Jacoe Store, which are <br />prone to freezing and leaking.
