<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 2, 2007 <br />Page 6 of 10 <br /> <br />commended Becky Hogan of EDge Consulting Services, former City Manager <br />Simmons, former Deputy City Manager Boyd, and Interim City Manager Balser <br />for their work on the development of incentive programs and services for the City <br />of Louisville. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve Ordinance No. 1507, Series 2007 on <br />first reading, send it out for publication, and set the public hearing for January 16, <br />2007. Council member Sacklett seconded the motion. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light requested a friendly amendment to include the proposed <br />redline changes. Mayor Sisk and Council member Sackett accepted the <br />amendment. <br /> <br />VOTE: All in favor <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1508, SERIES 2007 - AN ORDINANCE ENACTING <br />SECTION 17.16.265 OF THIE lOUISVlllE MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING <br />TO REFUSE AND RECYCLING AREAS _1st reading - set public hearing <br />2/6/07 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1508, Series 2007. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> <br />Council member Marsella as~~ed for clarification on the recycling areas with the <br />new housing development. Planning Director Wood stated the North End <br />Development has already revi~ed their plan to incorporate recycling areas. <br /> <br />Council member Clabots inquired about parking issues for recycling areas. <br />Planning Director Wood stated parking is a design criteria on any PUD. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk suggested a recyding incentive plan be considered for existing areas <br />and businesses in Louisville. He requested the Resource Conservation Advisory <br />Board investigate recycling areas throughout the City. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve Ordinance No. 1508, Series 2007 on <br />first reading, send it out for publication and set a public hearing for February 6, <br />2007, seconded by Council member Clabots. All in favor. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - BUSINESS INCENTIVE PROPOSAL <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br />
