HE~ noted Superior's IGA establishes a $75,000 <br />contribution for 2007 and $751,000 for 2008. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Eileen Patrick, 401 West Street, Louisville, CO, Chairperson of the Library Board <br />of Trustees thanked Council1For appointing a new library board member. She <br />also thanked Mayor Pro Tem Brown for working with the Town of Superior. She <br />explained the Library Board of Trustees has devoted a lot of time determining the <br />library service needs of Louisville. She addressed the Superior IGA, which notes <br />in a Whereas statement that lIthe Parties wish to avoid duplication of services". <br />She voiced concern over section 2b of the IGA, which provides authorization for <br />Superior to access the municipality of residence of each library user. She felt <br />there were privacy issues. She requested references to sharing recreational <br />facilities be deleted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> <br />Council member Sackett commended the efforts of Mayor Pro Tem Brown for <br />working with the Town of Superior on the IGA. He stressed there are benefits to <br />sharing facilities. <br /> <br />Council member Muckle statHd this is an opportunity to work with Superior on <br />library sharing and on other issues. He preferred separating sharing library <br />services from recreation services. He addressed Section 2b, and suggested <br />similar language, which would provide Superior services to Louisville residents. <br /> <br />Council member Yarnell thanked Mayor Pro Tem Brown and the Library Board. <br />She favored an increase in the 2008 contribution, and suggested language <br />stipulating a minimum of $75,,000 to be increased in the level of actual use. <br /> <br />Council member Marsella thanked Mayor Pro Tem Brown and commended the <br />Town of Superior. She also felt the library agreement should be separate from <br />recreation services. She suggested the Town of Superior's contribution for 2008 <br />be more appropriate and closer to their usage of the library. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk noted the City of Louisville and the Town of Superior have been <br />partners in many projects throughout the years. He stated the Town of Superior <br />should not be asked to pay for the capital project but should pay their share of <br />the actual operating expenses of the library. He supported the City continuing <br />discussions with the Town of Superior Trustees. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown explained the City's goal is to resolve the issues <br />concerning Superior's usage of the Louisville Public Library. He supported <br />amending the resolution to provide for an increase in the 2008 contribution and a <br />
