City Council Meeting Minutes March 6, 2007 Page 10 of 11 clr~ ATTORNEY'S REPORT City Attorney Light reported on pending litigation; the City of louisville v. Riggins. He requested Council direction on the proposal to authorize Defense Counsel to proceed with a proposal consistent with an offer made prior to commencement of the litigation. Mayor Sisk reported the legal Committee met prior to the City Council meeting and recommends Council dirE~ct the City Attorney to authorize Defense Counsel to proceed with the proposal. There was Council consensus. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT Interim City Manager Balser reported on the following: . Three Potential 96l Routes. . March 13, 2007 Study Session Agenda Items: Meet with the louisville Cultural Council; Planning Staff regarding trailers and the public process, and Becky Hogan, Ed~le Consulting, regarding business retention training. . March 6 meeting with Xcel Energy. The franchise agreement is scheduled to be renewed and Sta.ff and the City Attorney will work with Xcel Energy on a new agreement. COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS Mayor Sisk asked Council to consider discussing with the Cultural Council at the March 13 study session a cooperation agreement with the Boulder Valley School District for a performing arts center at the louisville Middle School. Mayor Sisk reported he will be in Washin!gton on Thursday, March 7, representing the City of louisville and the Metro Mayors Caucus at the Lexington Mayors meeting. Council member Sackett sug!~ested the City Manager's report be placed at the beginning of the agenda inste!ad of at the end of the agenda. There was Council consensus.
