<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 20, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 13 <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMME:NTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Charles Hill, 233 Jackson Circle, Louisville, CO reported over the weekend someone <br />attempted to steal his car. He called the Louisville Police Department and was very <br />pleased with the professional and courteous way he was treated. He commended <br />Officer Joshua Sundberg and the Louisville Police Department. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br />AGENDA <br /> <br />Council member Marsella introduced Dylan Cousins, from the Youth Advisory Board, <br />who like other members is attending various Board and Commission meetings to learn <br />what other boards do. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk thanked Mr. Hill for informing Council of the professional treatment he <br />received from the Police Department. He stated there is a strong police presence and <br />noted seeing Officer Jay BrawnE~r at the Senior Center today. Sisk reported he testified <br />at a State Senate Committee on indemnification issues for RTD. <br /> <br />CITV MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />Interim City Manager Balser reported on the following: <br /> <br />· The new Xcel Energy Foothills high pressure station is now open. The Louisville <br />station will provide backup for the Foothills station for one year. <br />· On April 11 the City of Louisville and Boulder County will receive the DRCOG <br />2007 Local Government Award for the Highway 42 Revitalization Area Tri-Party <br />Agreement on TIF Revenue Sharing. <br />· Thursday, March 28, 2007 - RTD will hold a public meeting on the 96L Route, at <br />the Louisville Public Libnary, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. <br />. Updated Council on a ne~w timeframe for the City Manager search. Interviews are <br />tentatively scheduled for May 30 and 31. <br />· The Human Resources Department has announced a number of part-time and <br />seasonal positions currently available. <br /> <br />Council member Sackett thanked the City for supporting the Coal Creek <br />Subdivision residents during the, Boulder County public hearing process where a new <br />site was selected for the Xcel Energy High Pressure Station. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1511, SERIE:S 2007 - AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE <br />No. 1397, SERIES 2002- AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.20.160 OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROHIBIT THE PARKING OR STORAGE OF <br />TRAILERS AND SIMILAR NON-MOTORIZED APPARATUS WITHIN FRONT AND <br />SIDE V ARDS - 2nd reading - Public Hearing - Staff recommends continuance to <br />5/1/07 <br />
