Set City Council Special Meeting for June 8, 2007, 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMEINTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Council member Sackett explressed his concern over a letter sent to the <br />residents of the Coal Creek Subdivision. The letter stated the City will no longer <br />provide exclusive parking for the subdivision during the 4th of July Fireworks <br />festivities. His concern centered on potential confrontations between Coal Creek <br />residents and guests in festivities. Staff will investigate and report back to <br />Council. <br /> <br />Council member Clabots reminded the residents the Taste of Louisville will be <br />held on Saturday, June 9, in Downtown Louisville. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown announced on Friday, June 8, the City Council will <br />interview candidates for the City Manager position. On Thursday, June 7, at 7:00 <br />p.m., there will be an open house where the public can meet the candidates. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />Public Works Director Phare reported on a non-resident water tap request from <br />the owner of 439 Majestic ViHW Drive, which is located West of McCaslin. <br /> <br />Land Management Director Hobson updated Council on the completion of the <br />City Hall remodel: All the furniture has been delivered; the cameras for the <br />Council Chambers will be installed next week; and security cameras will be <br />ordered for the interior and exterior of City Hall building. The cost of the City Hall <br />remodel thus far is $1.4 Million. <br /> <br />Becky Hogan, EDge Consultiing, 52 Steele Street, Denver, CO reported on the <br />International Council of Shopping Center Conference, held in Las Vegas. Mayor <br />Sisk, Interim City Manager Balser and Hogan participated in eight meetings, <br />three were retention visits and five were with developers. She encouraged Staff <br />to participate annually. <br /> <br />Interim City Manager Balser announced the Senior Ice Cream Social has been <br />scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on July 19, at Memory Square Park. Council will serve <br />ice cream to the seniors. Shle reported the City received $12,000 from FEMA as <br />reimbursement for expenses incurred for snow removal efforts in December of <br />
