She introduced Alan Miller, who will be the Acting Finance Director for the <br />next few months. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />RECOGNITION OF CITY 01: lOUISVlllE 2007 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown explained the City of Louisville established an annual <br />scholarship to acknowledge and inspire community and civic involvement. <br />Criteria for the scholarship include: Louisville Residency; Attendance of <br />Louisville school for at least the last 2 years; A minimum GPA of 2.5 and Civic <br />involvement and/or employment with the City of Louisville. Each candidate for <br />the scholarship was also required to write a one-page essay titled "My Civic <br />Involvement or My employmemt with the City of Louisville". <br /> <br />Council members Sheri Marsella and Dave Clabots reviewed the six applications <br />received and recommended this year the City awarded three $700 scholarships <br />to the following students: Lauren Avischious, Whitworth College; Kelsey Kraeger, <br />the University of Northern Colorado and Olga Shershneva, the University of <br />Colorado, Boulder. Council member Marsella explained all the applicants were <br />outstanding in their involvement with the City. <br /> <br />Ms. Shershneva and Ms. Avischious were in attendance and thanked Council for <br />their scholarships. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 27, SERIES 2007 - A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE <br />METRO DENVER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION CODE OF <br />ETHICS <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Brown requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Becky Hogan, Edge Consulting, explained the provisions of the Code of Ethics of <br />the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation require formally adopting <br />the MDEDC Code of Ethics to affirm Louisville will abide by certain standards of <br />conduct in a spirit of regional cooperation, as relates to economic development. <br />She introduced Tom Clark, President of the MDEDC. <br /> <br />Tom Clark explained the Code of Ethics was developed by the economic <br />development professionals that support and practice these standards in their <br />daily conduct of business. It involves the following: Promotion of the entire metro <br />Denver area; honoring the confidentiality of the client; commitment to not solicit <br />fellow member's companies; work together with the real estate community; <br />commitment to share information and resources and commitment to not "sell <br />
