<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 2, 2007 <br />Page 3 of 9 <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk addressed an email complaint from Eva Kosinski relative to Consent <br />Agenda Item 4C - Resolution No. 30, Series 2007, which authorizes the City and <br />County of Denver to issue Single Family Home Mortgage Revenue Bonds. He <br />explained by approving the R,esolution, Louisville residents, who are first-time <br />home buyers, are eligible to apply for low interest loans. They pay 4% down and <br />receive an interest rate that is less than the prime lending rate. He stressed the <br />City is not undertaking any dE~bt or liability in participating in this program. <br /> <br />Council member Muckle arrived to the meeting at 7:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk reminded the residents of the City's Annual 4th of July celebration. <br />He invited residents to participate in the activities at Community Park and to <br />attend the 16th Annual Fireworks Display at the Coal Creek Golf Course. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />Interim City Manager Balser reported on the following: <br /> <br />. Boulder County letter to the Broomfield Council requesting their approval <br />of the IGA amendments, which would permit a zoning change for the <br />Hoyle property. <br />. The high count of adult mosquito population and spraying the Coal Creek <br />Trail area on July 2. <br />. A recent business trip to Washington, D.C., where she attended meetings <br />for transportation funding. Representatives from COOT and RTD were <br />also in attendance. Five finalists will be chosen for funding. <br />. The cancellation of the July 24 and 31 Study Sessions. <br /> <br />'REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />COUNCIL REMEMBRANCE OF TOM MAYER <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk remembered the late Tom Mayer for his public service and his many <br />contributions to the City of Louisville and to Boulder County. Memorial services <br />for Tom Mayer will be held on July 11 at the Boulder High School auditorium. <br /> <br />Council member Muckle statE~d Tom Mayer served the City and the County well <br />and noted he will be missed. <br /> <br />A moment of silence was observed in remembrance of Tom Mayer. <br />
