<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 2, 2007 <br />Page 5 of 9 <br /> <br />Alan Miller, Acting Finance Director reported the 2006 Comprehensive Annual <br />Financial Report is complete. He noted the report concludes the City is in good <br />financial condition and the City's assets have increased. He recognized former <br /> <br />Finance Director Patty Leslie and Account Manager Jodie Ferrera for their work <br />in the audit process. He introduced Wendy Swan horst, representative from the <br />CPA firm of Swanhorst & Company, LLC. <br /> <br />Wendy Swanhorst presented the results of the City's annual audit in the 2006 <br />Management Letter, which nOlted the City entered into no unusual or significant <br />transactions during the year and no difficulties were encountered during the <br />audit. Swanhorst & Company, LLC provided Staff with a schedule of audit <br />adjustments. Of these adjustments none were determined to, either individually <br />or in the aggregate, indicate matters that could have a significant effect on the <br />City's financial reporting. Swanhorst & Company, LLC also provided, in <br />conjunction with the Management Letter, items for Council consideration. She <br />explained new legislation mandates municipal governments include all <br />infrastructure assets in their financial statements. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION. GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL OFFICERS ASSOCIATION <br />2006 DISTINGUIStiED BUDGET PRESENTATION AWARD <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Interim City Manager Balser reported the City of Louisville and former Director of <br />Finance Patricia A. Leslie received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award <br />for fiscal year 2005. This is the sixteenth year that Louisville has received the <br />award. Louisville has also received the Certificate of Achievement in Financial <br />Reporting Program Award for 2005. For fiscal year 2005, 1,069 entities received <br />the Budget Award nationwide. She thanked Former Finance Director Patty <br />Leslie and all members of the! Finance Staff for all their work on the budget. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 32, SERIES 2007 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING A <br />SPECIAL REVIEW USE TO AUTHORIZE THE INSTITUTE OF TAOIST <br />EDUCATION AND ACUPUNCTURE, INC. AT 325 SOUTH BOULDER ROAD <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Principal Planner McCartney explained the applicant, Ms. Hilary Skellon, <br />representing the Institute for Taoist Education and Acupuncture, Inc. (Institute) <br />proposes to relocate the Institute from its current 608 Main Street location to an <br />existing building at 325 South Boulder Road. This is a private school and <br />requires review and approval as a Special Review Use (SRU). <br />
