<br />1I1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111I ~~;~~?:? ~, <br /> <br />Boulder County Clerk, CO ORD <br /> <br />R 26 00 <br /> <br />D 0.00 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Couneil finds that the adoption of this ordinance will promote the <br />protection and preservation of the City's historic and cultural heritage; will promote the <br />enhancement of property values and the stabilization of historic neighborhoods; will create <br />incentives for homeowners to preserve historic facades and other architectural features and to <br />landmark historic homes, and will inerease the economic and financial benefits realized through the <br />City's attraction to tourists and visitors. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section 1. Subsection C of Section 17.12.050 of the Louisville Municipal Code is <br />hereby amended to read as follows (words added are underlined; words deleted are stricken <br />through): <br /> <br />Sec. 17.12.050. Yard and bulk requirements; Old Town overlay district. <br /> <br />C. Design and Slope of Roof The predominant roof shall be a hip/ridge design and <br />shall not be a shed roof or other design. The minimum roof pitch for the <br />predominant roofs on both principal and accessory structures shall be 6:12~. A <br />"predominant roof' is one having a surface area that exceeds more than eighty <br />percent (80%) of the total surface area of all roofs on the structure. as calculated by <br />the planning department. "Roof pitch" means the slope of the roof, or the angle <br />which is formed between the roof and the horizontal plane. <br /> <br />Section 2. Chapter 17.12 of the Louisville Municipal Code is amended by the addition <br />ofa new Section 17.12.055 to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 17.12.055. Preservation zonin~~ incentives; Old Town overlay district. <br /> <br />A. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 17.12.050 to the contrary, there shall be <br />granted within the Old Town overlay district a lot coverage bonus and a floor area <br />ratio bonus for preserving the street-facing facade or for obtaining a landmark <br />designation pursuant to chapter 15.36 of this code. Such bonuses, referred to as the <br />preservation bonus and the landmark bonus, shall be as set forth in subsection B of <br />this section and shall be granted for qualifying projects as provided in subsection C of <br />this section. <br /> <br />B.
