Open Space Advisory Board Minutes Sept. 14, 2011 OSAB makes a unanimous recommendation to amend the o management plan. VIII. Discussion: Jeff Moline, City of Lafayette, Possibilities for Future Acquisition Partnerships LOSAC (Lafayette) wishes to assess OSAB’s interest in a possible joint acquisition of the Adler Creekside Property. Property is located in Lafayette, but it is an important buffer zone. o The property has a riparian zone adjacent to it. o OSAB had previous indicated that this was a #2 priority property. o City Council has previously considered the purchase of the property but has declined to support it. IX. Staff Updates Washington and McCaslin Crossing Update City Council’s recommended alternative was the underpass o alternative. However, they seek a different alignment of the underpass than has been previously presented to OSAB and the public. The realignment may have some impacts on the entrance to the o dog off leash area and the two parking lots. Proposed timeline: Design - 2012, Construction – 2013 o Feasibility Study: Water Conveyance from Hecla Res. to Harney/Lastoka Open Space No significant progress – still in the information gathering stage o Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic For Our Time Thursday, Sept. 15 at 6pm at Louisville Middle School o The City will have a recruiting table for volunteers. o Raptor Presentation:53 people in attendance Library has advertised the de-haunting program. Staff is looking for volunteers to assist in the program. X. Board Updates Geo-cache Updates: “Feasting at the Table,” Davidson Mesa Helen will contact the geocache webmaster about posting the o cache information.
