WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville has made a thorough study of the 1976 edition of the Uniform ~ire Code, as amended; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the same should be adopted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY nF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: SECTION 1. The Unitiorm Fire Code, 1973 edition, as adopted by Ordinance 466 of the Louisville Mundcipal Code is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Pursuant to Chapter 16, Article 31, Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, as amended, there is hereby adopted as a part of the L6uts~ille Municipal Code, Chapter 15.20 and as the Fire Code of the City of Louisville, by reference thereto, the Uniform Fire Code, 1976 Edition, as amended, published by the International Conference of Building Officials and the Western Fire Chiefs Association, 5360 South Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California, to have the same force and effect as if set forth herein in every particular. The subject matter of the adopted code includes comprehensive provisions and standards regulating the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or~pr9perty in the use or occupancy of buildings or premises in the City of Louisville, Colorado for the purpose of protecting the public health, safety, and general welfare from the hazards of fire and explosion.
