OHDII'JANCE NO. 556 AN ORDINANCE AIvLENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE BY ADDING AN ADDITIONAL RESIDENTIAL ZONIf'JG DISTRIGT, REGlJLATING THE LOCATION OF PRIVATE AND ]PUBLIC HORSE STABLES, RE:VISING 'THE YARD AND BULK REQUIRIDlvlEN'TS, HEVT:3II'JCf THE PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL PROCESS AND ADDING DEFINTTIONS TO CLAR.IFY THE PREGEEDDJG. WHEHEAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville has previously adopted the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Louisville, and, WHEREAS, from time to time the City Council, City Planning Commission and City Staff have reviewed said Ordinance to ascertai::J its adequacy in terms of controlling land use, yard and bulk, and the general ability of the Ordinance to regulate ever changing development conditions, and WHEREAS, after holding properly advertised public hearings, the City Council has determined that amendment of the Zoning Ordinance is indeed desirable and necessary, NOW, THERE.[I'ORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Louisville, Colorado that the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Louisville is hereby amended as follows: SECTION 1. Section 2-101, subsections (B) through (I), inclusive, of Chapter 17.12 of Title 17 of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby repealed. SEC'l'ION 2. Section 2-101, Chapter 17.12, Title 17, of the Louisville Municipal Dode dealing with Zoning District Categories is hereby amended to add the following subsections: (B) Residential Rural R-R - This district is intended to provide for rural character, single family areas, primarily on the fringe areas of the Louisville Planning Area. (C) Residential Estate R-E - This district is intended to provide an alternative to typical urban density single family residential areas by providing for larger minimum lot areas. (D) Residential Low Density R-L - This district is comprised of typical urban density single family residential areas. -1-
