<br />'- <br /> <br />'-../ <br /> <br />3.24.030 Fee - Desiqnated - Required for construction in <br /> <br />certain districts. Any contractor applying for a building permit in <br /> <br />accordance with Chapter 15.04 shall, as a condition of obtaining <br /> <br />such building permit, pay to the city a parks and recreational fee <br /> <br />as defined in Chapter 17.12, a fee of fifty cents per square foot of <br /> <br />floor area, as defined in Section 3.24.010, as the floor area may be <br /> <br />determined from the plans and specifications submitted to the building <br /> <br />official as part of the application for a building permit. <br /> <br />3.24.050 Fee - Payment. The parks and recreational fees shall <br /> <br />be due and payable at the time the building permit is issued. Under no <br /> <br />circumstances shall the building official issue a certificate of occupancy <br /> <br />until and unless the parks and recreational fee, as calculated in Section <br /> <br />3.24.030, has been paid in full. <br /> <br /> <br />3.24.060 Disbursem EIlts of Funds. Any and all disbursements <br /> <br /> <br />of these funds shall be strictly limited as follows: <br /> <br />A. The tree fund shall be used for purchase and planting of <br /> <br />trees in the city. <br /> <br />B. The parks and. recreational fund shall be used to purchase <br /> <br />real or personal property, to construct or otherwise acquire recrea- <br /> <br />tional facilities including, but not necessarily limited to, tennis <br /> <br />courts, bicycle paths, park and picnic areas, and playgrounds. <br /> <br />The foregoing items are not intended to limit, but merely describe <br /> <br />examples of the kind of recreational facilities for which expenditures <br /> <br />may be made from the parks and recreational fund. The city council <br /> <br />may from time to time determine other appropriate purposes for expendi- <br /> <br />tures in the area of recreational amenities. To the extent feasible and <br /> <br />practicable, the city council shall, within its absolute discretion, <br /> <br />budget the expenditure of funds for parks and recreational projects <br /> <br />in or near the area from which such funds may have originated or been <br /> <br />collected.
