The recent <br />fundraiser for CPRA went very well at the golf course andDirector <br />Stevenswas complimentary to Western Golf staff. Bobby Heath <br />mentionedthe LoyaltyProgram offered at Coal Creek and how well it’s <br />doing with 1,400 to approximately 1,500 Loyalty members. <br />Commentson the proposed improvements to the clubhouse were: <br />The proposed improvements at the clubhouse would also bring the <br />structure to ADA-compliant. <br />Leave the pavilion –the design group explained that adding decking and <br />overhang would replace the pavilion. <br />Preserve the majestic view to the west for diners –currently the dining <br />areais on the opposite side and would not have a view of the Flatirons. <br />What happened to designing alarger facility to accommodate social <br />functions. –City Manager Fleming said that’s the purpose of the RFP to <br />get proposals on hotel and banquet facilities. <br />Lodestone Design Group -Money spent on improvements to clubhouse <br />would not be wasted if a hotel/banquet hall gets built. <br />Western Golf Properties –Wants to ensure the improvements make sense <br />financially for Western Golf. <br />Take another look at a banquet hall. <br />Need locker rooms for day-to-day use. <br />Improve restrooms so that golfers have room to changeif coming directly <br />from work. <br />Let’s not get distracted by hotel/banquet facility proposals; favor the <br />clubhouse improvements and support the RFP. <br />Malcolm Fleming –RFP is a test to see if we get responses. May go <br />forward with banquet facility, but can still exam the budget issues. <br />Hank Dalton –expressed his appreciation for the time the members spend <br />on improving the golf course and said “it’s going to pay off.” <br />GCAB Chairperson Ken Gambon thanked all members who attended tonight’s <br />meeting. The Mayor announced that Ron Sackett will be the Council liaison to <br />the Golf Course Advisory Board. <br />Information on the proposed RFP for a hotel/banquet facility was available in the <br />meeting packet. <br /> <br />
