<br />O. "Flood profile" means a combination of structural <br />provisions I changes I or adjustments to properties <br />and structures subject to flooding primarily for the <br />reduction or climination of flood damages to prop- <br />erties I water and sanitary facilities I structures I <br />and contents of buildings in a flood hazard area. <br /> <br />P. "Flood protection elevation" means an elevation <br />one foot above the elevation or flood profile of <br />the hundred-year flood under existing channel <br />and floodplain conditions. It is one foot above the <br />elevation of the flood for the flood regulatory <br />district as shown on the zoning map in the office <br />of the city engineer. <br /> <br />Q. "Flood regulatory district" means that portion of <br />the floodplain subject to inundation by the <br />hundred--year flood I and which has been approved <br />by the Colorado Water Conservation Board. The <br />regulatory district can be subdivided into the <br />floodway district and the flood storage district. <br /> <br />R. "Flood stage" means the height or elevation of a <br />flood as referred to some datum. For purposes <br />other than those of this chapter I the term is <br />commonly used to refer to the elevation at which <br />a stream will overtop its normal stage banks. <br /> <br />S. "Flood storage district" means the fringe portion <br />of the flood regulatory district in which flows are <br />characteristically of shallow depths and low <br />velocities. <br /> <br />T. "Floodway district" means that portion of the <br />flood re9ulatory district required for the reason- <br />able passage or conveyance of the hundred-year <br />flood which is characterized by hazardous and <br />significant depths and velocities. <br /> <br />U. "Habitable floor" means any floor usable for living <br />purposes I which includes working I sleeping I <br />eating I cooking or recreation I or a combination <br />thereof. A floor used only for storage purposes is <br />not a "habitable floor". <br /> <br />V. "Hundred-year flood" is one that has a frequency <br />of occurrence of one hundred years I determined <br />from an analysis of floods on a particular water- <br />course and other watercourses in the same general <br />region. It has about a one percent change of occurring <br />in any given year. <br /> <br />W. "Mobile home" means a structure that is transportable <br />in one or more sections I built on a permanent chassis I <br />and deSigned to be used with or without a permanent <br />foundation when connected to the required utilities. <br />It does not include recreational vehicles or travel <br />trailers. <br /> <br />X. "New construction" means structures for which the <br />"start of con struction" commenced on or after the <br />effective date of this ordinance. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
