<br />developed in such a way that it will not be available <br />to convey flood flows. The stream channel and <br />adjoining floodplains between these lines will be <br />maintained as open space and will be adequate to <br />convey the hundred -year flood without adversely <br />increasin9 flood heights I such increase under any <br />condition not exceeding one-half foot. <br /> <br />F. "Equal degree of encroachment" is established by <br />considering the effect of encroachments on the <br />hydraulic efficiency of the floodplain along a <br />Significant reach of the stream I on both sides. <br /> <br />G. "Existing mobile home park" means a parcel (or <br />contiguous parcels) of land divided into two or <br />more mobHe home lots for rent or sale for which <br />the construction of facilities for servicing the lot <br />on which the mobile home is to be affixed (including I <br />at a minimum I the installation of utilities, either <br />final site grading or the pouring of concrete pads I <br />and the construction of streets) is completed before <br />the effect:Lve date of this ordinance. <br /> <br />H. "Expansion to an existing mobile home park" means <br />the preparation of additional sites by the construction <br />of facilities for servicing the lots on which the mobile <br />homes are to be affixed (including the installation of <br />utilities I either final site grading or pouring of concrete <br />pads I or the construction of streets) . <br /> <br />I. "Flood" means a general and temporary condition of a <br />partial or complete inundation of normally dry land <br />areas from the overflow of streams I rivers, or other <br />inland water; or from the unusual and rapid accumula- <br />tion or runoff of surface waters from any source. <br /> <br />J. "Flood Insurance Study" means the official report <br />provided by the Federal Insurance Administration that <br />includes flood profiles I the Flood Boundary-Floodway <br />Map, and the water surface elevation of the base flood. <br /> <br />K. "Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM)" means the official <br />map on which the Federal Insurance Administration has <br />delineated both the areas of special flood hazards and <br />the risk premium zones applicable to the community. <br /> <br />L. "Floodplain" means an area adjacent to and/or within a <br />watercourse which is subject to flooding as the result <br />of the occurrence of the hundred-year flood I and which <br />thus is so adverse to past I current I or foreseeable <br />construction or land use as to constitute a Significant <br />hazard to public health and safety or to property. <br /> <br />M. "FlOOdplain zoning adjustment" means the procedure <br />undertaken by the zoning board of adjustment in the <br />consideration I granting I or denial of variances or <br />special exception permits. <br /> <br />N. "Floodplain zoning maps" are those maps that accur- <br />ately indicate the boundaries of the flood regulatory <br />district I and in some instances the floodway district <br />and the flood storage district . including the Flood <br />Insurance Rate Map. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
