<br />FF. "StructurE~" means anything constructed or erected, the <br />use of which requires a more or less permanent location <br />on or in the ground. The term includes but is not limited <br />to objects such as mobile homes, buildings, factories, <br />sheds and cabins. <br /> <br />GG. "Structure, permanent" means a structure which is <br />built of such materials and in such a way that it would <br />commonly be expected to last and remain useful for a <br />substantial period of time. <br /> <br />HH. "Structure, temporary" means a structure which i s built <br />of such materials and in such a way that it would commonly <br />be expected to have a relatively shore useful life, or <br />which is built for a purpose that would commonly be <br />expected to be relatively short term. <br /> <br />II. "Substantial improvement" means any repair, recon- <br />struction, or improvement of a structure, the cost of <br />which equals or exceeds fifty percent of the actual <br />cash value of the structure either before the improve- <br />ment has started or, if the structure has been damaged <br />and is beIng restored, before the damage occurred. <br />Substantial improvements is started when the first <br />alteration of any structural part of the building commences. <br /> <br />II. "Variance or special exception permit" means a grant of <br />relief from the requirements of this ordinance which <br />permits construction in a manner that would otherwise <br />be prohibited by this ordinance. <br /> <br />KK. "Watercourse" means a channel, natural depression, <br />slough, artificial channel, gulch, arroyo, stream, <br />creek, pond, reservoir, or lake in which storm runoff <br />and floodwater flows either regularly on infrequently. <br />This includes major drainageways for carrying urban <br />storm runoff. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. Section 17. S6. 120 of the Louisville Municipal Code <br /> <br />is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. The following section is hereby added to Title 17, <br /> <br />Chapter 17.56 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> <br />17.56.120 Official map <br /> <br />The location and boundaries of the flood areas established <br />by the chapter are shown upon the Floodplain zoning map of <br />the city, whi.ch is incorporated into this chapter. These <br />areas are established by the Federal Insurance Administration <br />in a report entitled, "The Flood Insurance Study for Louisville, " <br />dated January I, 1973, with accompanying Flood Insurance <br />Rate Map. Said zoning map, together with everything shown <br />thereon and all amendments thereto, shall be as much a part <br />of this chapter as if fully set forth and described herein. <br />Each change in the offical map shall be subject to the amend- <br />ment procedure as required in Section 17.56.220. For the <br />purpose of final determination of the floodplain limits, the <br />flood profile shall control. Copies of the flood profile shall <br />be on file with the city clerk and the city engineer. <br /> <br />-S- <br />
