<br />ORDINANCE NO. 585 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 17, THE <br />ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, <br />BY ADDING A NEW USE GROUP REGARDING OIL <br />AND GAS EXPLORATION AND SETTING FORTH <br />REGULATIONS THERETO, BY REVISING THE USE <br />GROUPS IN CERTAIN ZONING DISTRICTS, BY <br />REVISING CERTAIN YARD AND BULK REQUIRE- <br />MENTS, BY REVISING REGULATIONS WITH RESPECT <br />TO SIGNS AND BY REVISING THE DEFINITION OF <br />CERTAIN ZONING DISTRICT CATAGORIES. <br /> <br />This Ordinance is hereby amended by adding the following sections: <br /> <br />SECTION 20. Sections 17.08.590, 17.16.100(a) and 17.16.120(c) <br /> <br />of Title 17 of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 21. The following sections are hereby added to Chapters <br /> <br />17.08 and 17.16 of Title 17 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> <br />17.08:.590 Vision clearance area. <br /> <br />"Vision clearance area" means a triangular area on a lot at the <br /> <br />intersection of two streets or a street and a railroad, two sides of which <br /> <br />are lot lines to a distance specified in the regulations. The third side of <br /> <br />the triangle is a line across the corner of the lot jOining the ends of the <br /> <br />other two sides. Where the lot lines and intersections have rounded <br /> <br />corners, the lot lines will be extended in a straight line to a point of <br /> <br />intersection. The vision clearance area contains no plantings, walls, <br /> <br />structures or temporary or permanent obstructions exceeding two and one <br /> <br />half (2 1/2) feet in height measured from the top of the curb or existing <br /> <br />grade unless said structures or obstructions are more than eighty percent <br /> <br />open. <br /> <br />17.16.100 Vision clearance areas. <br /> <br />A. A vision clearance area shall contain no plantings, walls, <br /> <br />structures or temporary or permanent obstructions exceeding two and one <br /> <br />half (2 1/2) feet in height, measured from the top of the curb or existing <br /> <br />grade unles s said structures or obstructions are more than eighty percent <br /> <br />open. <br />
