In the event that a tap is not put in service by the owner within a <br /> <br />year from the purchase date thereof, the city shall require the payment of <br /> <br />an amount equal to any increase or increases in the tap fees which have <br /> <br />occurred since the purchase of said tap. <br /> <br />SECTION 5. Section 13.24.020, Chapter 13.24, Title 13 of the Louisville <br /> <br />Municipal Code is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 6. The following section is hereby added to Chapter 13.24, <br /> <br />Title 13 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> <br />13.24.020 Tap fee - Generally. <br /> <br />No sewer tap may be purchased until a building permit is obtained for <br /> <br />the structure to be served. Upon payment of the tap fee, the owner <br /> <br />remains responsible for all labor and excavation in connection with the <br /> <br />installation of the sewer tap. The city shall do all necessary inspection, <br /> <br />and the director of public works shall cause the inspection to be made to <br /> <br />determine that all of the work performed is in accordance with the <br /> <br />National Plumbing Code. <br /> <br />SECTION 7. Subsections A (I, 2, 3) and B (1, 2) of Section 13.24.030, <br /> <br />Chapter 13.24, Title 13 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 8. The following subsections are hereby added to Section 13.24.030, <br /> <br />Chapter 13.24, Title 13 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> <br />A. The tap fee for residential uses shall be computed as follows: <br /> <br />1. Single family dwellings, nine hundred dollars per unit; <br /> <br />2. Multiple family dwellings, nine hundred dollars per unit; <br />
