ORDINANCE NO. 605 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO ERECTION, INSTAL- LATION, ALTERATION, ADDITION, REPAIR, RE- LOCATION, REPLACEMENT, MAINTENANCE, OR USE OF ANY SOLAR SYSTEM WITHIN THE CITY OF LOUIS- VILLE, COLORADO: ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THERE- TO THE UNIFORM SOLAR ENERGY CODE, 1976 EDITION, OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL OFFICIALS. WHEREAS, there is an increasing demand for, and use of, solar energy systems; and, WHEREAS, the building department of the City of Louisville has made a thorough study of the 1976 edition of the Uniform Solar Energy Code and recommends adoption of this code. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: SECTION 1. The Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to add chapter 15.28 and the following sections thereof to Title 15: 15.28.010 Adoption. Pursuant to Title 31 Article 16, Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, as amended, there is hereby adopted as a part of the Louisville Municipal Code and as the Solar Energy Code of the City of Louisville, by reference thereto, the Uniform Solar Energy Code, 1976 Edition, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical officials, 5032 Allnambra Avenue, Los Angeles" California, to have the same force and effect as if set forth in every particular. The subject mat- ter of the adopted code includes the erection, installation, alteration, addition, repair, relocation, replacement, main- tenance, of use of any solar system for the purpose of pro- tecting the public health, safety and general welfare. 15.28.020 Amendments. The following amendment is made to the Uniform Solar Energy Code, 1976 Edition: a) Title 20.1 is hereby amended to read as follo~7s: 20.1 The building official shall be responsible for the enforcement of this Code and shall assume all duties of the administrative authority.
