• <br />IIUI1111IIIIIIVIV II lll111VIpllllll I� <br />1694703 <br />Page; 3 of 5 , <br />04/30/1997 02 :48P <br />B ulder County Clerk 0 RESOLUTION 26.00 0 0.00 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />SERIES 1997 <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENT OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE TO <br />ESTABLISH A PEDESTRIAN MALL IN OLD TOWN LOUISVILLE <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville desires to <br />establish a pedestrian mall on one block of Spruce Street and <br />portions of Front Street in Old Town Louisville; and <br />WHEREAS, the pedestrian mall to be established is more <br />particularly described below and is depicted on the map on file in <br />the office of the City Clerk, a copy of which is attached hereto; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the Public Mall Act of 1970, the <br />City Council by this Resolution desires to set forth its intention <br />to establish such pedestrian mall. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />1. The City Council determines that the public interest and <br />convenience require the establishment of a pedestrian mall in Old <br />Town Louisville. <br />2. The City Council proposes to adopt an ordinance <br />prohibiting vehicular traffic on the proposed pedestrian mall, with <br />the exception of public, emergency, and utility vehicles. Front <br />Street and the north -south alley one block east of Front Street <br />shall remain open to two -way vehicular traffic. <br />3. The portions of municipal streets that are proposed to be <br />established as a pedestrian mall include that one block of Spruce <br />Street lying east of Front Street and west of the Burlington <br />Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company right -of -way; and <br />approximately the easternmost twenty feet of Front Street beginning <br />at a point approximately 20 feet south of the south right -of -way <br />line of Spruce Street and extending approximately 240 north. <br />4. The only mall intersection for the proposed pedestrian <br />mall is Spruce Street and Front Street. The only street <br />intersecting the proposed mall is Front Street. <br />5. The City Council will hold a public hearing relative to <br />the establishment of the proposed pedestrian mall at the Louisville <br />City Hall, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado 80027, on July 1, <br />1997, at 7:00 P.M. Oral presentations from abutting owners and the <br />public at large in favor of or opposing, objecting to, or <br />protesting the proposed pedestrian mall will be considered by the <br />City Council at the public hearing. Notice of the hearing shall be <br />provided as required under the Public Mall Act of 1970, as amended. <br />
