He also noted that the <br />Ordinance does not increase any permit fees or tap fees. <br /> <br />Davidson asked if the preponderance of the evidence for the metropolitan area cities is <br />the preference of the International Plumbing Code over the Uniform Plumbing Code. <br /> <br />Talboom stated that the majority of the Metropolitan Cities currently use the Uniform <br />Plumbing Code, but are waiting for the full family of Codes to consider and adopt at one <br />time. <br /> <br />Keany commented that in Section 4, regarding time clocks, the word "shall" should be <br />changed to "may". His preference was the recommendation of the wording time clock <br />"may" be installed, rather "shall" be installed. <br /> <br />Keany voiced his concern that Louisville would adopt and implement a code that very <br />few communities have adopted. <br /> <br />Talboom stated that Colorado is unique because most States are going with the <br />International Codes. He noted that a lot of jurisdictions are waiting for the full family of <br />codes to consider and adopt them all at once. <br /> <br />Mayer asked if the plumbing permit fees schedules are set by the City or in compliance <br />with the Codes. <br /> <br />Talboom stated the fees contained in the Uniform Plumbing Code have not been changed <br />in the International Plumbing Code. When the City adopted the Codes, they adopt the <br />fees. <br /> <br />Sisk suggested that Mr. Pierce respond to Chief Building Official Talboom' s comments <br />to the Council questions. <br /> <br />Mr. Pierce stated that he did not feel that the Chief Building Official had directly <br />responded to Council's questions.. Mr. Pierce stated that over forty states have adopted <br />the Uniform Plumbing Code.
